I definitely want to try this place again. It was similar to some of the stuff I get from my favorite Brazilian Cafe in California. The garlic sauce was pretty good and so was the rice. My steak was good, but not great I just thought the food was so over priced in general. The portion size was nice, enough to take home for a 2nd meal. I did like the atmosphere and the mix of diners there some dressed up others casual. Our server was very friendly and when I asked, "What do you recommend? What is popular?" She didn't stall. She said that she hasn't tried some items that she mentioned, but heard from others that they are good. I don't like it when servers answer with, "I don't know," when asked what is popular at any restaurant.

Love this place! The service is always outstanding, and the food is delicious! Can't get enough of the Picanha Special!

I ate here while visiting OKC last week. At first when my dining companions suggested a Brazilian restaurant, I was hesitant, because when I think Brazilian, I think mounds of meat. But it turned out there there were three vegetarian dishes on the menu. In addition, my server told me that some of the salads were vegan-friendly, although that wasn't indicated on the menu. To start, I had the almond orange salad, which was just a basic salad, but a good deal for $2 in addition to the meal. I had a hard time choosing between the veg-friendly entrees. I ended up going with the first one, which was Bo Bo de Frutas. I'd never had anything quite like it before. The server brought me a plate with steamed veggies and a lump of rice (the kind of thing that you'd get served when you ask for a vegan dish at a normal restaurant). But then he brought me a steaming bowl of stuff to ladle over it. The bowl contained plantain and fruits (not sure which kind) in a creamy coconut milk broth. It was a little like a very sweet, not at all spicy Thai curry. I thought this was delicious. Huge portion size, and a bit expensive at $17. My dining companions all had plates with lots of meat. Out of the sides with their dishes, they raved about the collards most. Overall, this was a great meal and a new experience.

Pretty good Latin food in OKC. Great portions, but the prices were a bit high. I would go back again though.

I would have given this place 5 stars, but for two things: 1. If the waiter wasn't been hitting on my date all night. Ha. Nice try dude, I was on to your game. 2. If there wasn't a distractingly bad jammy solo-acoustic singer/songwriter playing (shorts at a dinner club? really?) This isn't even close to being the right venue for that. How about Brazilian solo guitar, or even Flamenco? The Coldplay covers were killin' me! Killin' me! We actually requested to move away from him, which was understandingly accommodated. But, on to the good! We had drinks and appetizers (Beringela Portuguesa-which was basically an eggplant/red pepper spread, and Cachaca, which is the Brazilian national drink-a "fiery rum distilled from sugar cane"). They were both quite tasty. The spread could've been a bit spicier, but was savory none-the-less. The Cachaca was pretty refreshing. The atmosphere here is great. It's the kind of place that makes you want to lean in to hear your dates conversation. I mean that in the best of ways. We sat on the roof and had a nice view of down town, Kamps, etc. I'm glad to see OKC getting restaurants like this (and I realize it's not terribly new); slightly off the beaten path, without the mainstream chain restaurants that have populated this town for so long. I've always found great ethnic food in this city, but not a lot of places with nice ambience. And that's what sells Cafe do Brasil for me.

Mmmmmmm! Met friends for brunch on a Sunday morning and thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the patio, sipping mimosas (which come in a pitcher) and coffee. Perfect breeze, yummy food with just the right amount of "kick". Will definitely return!

The food was delicious, MARISCADA NORDESTINA scallops and Tilapia cost a little more to combine both, I asked for the spicy and it was perfect. A sizzling dish. The decor was very Brazilian and the service was good the waitress was helpful. Traveling on business I like to try interesting foods that I can not get at home try this place out

Cafe do Brasil is a real treasure. Wonderful food (best ceviche i've had yet), cool atmosphere and the upstairs bar/patio is my favorite place to be on a warm summer evening. Try the traditional rum drink, the name of which I'm blanking on. The service has been a bit off each time i've eaten there though. If they could rein in their waitstaff this would surely become a five yelp star establishment.

This restaurant already has a great reputation, but I'd just like to add to that. Finally tried it for the first time last weekend, and it lived up to the hype. Excellent place. I was there for lunch, but I've heard Sunday brunch is particularly spectacular, so I'ma have to try that out soon.

I'm really happy that Oklahoma City has a Brazilian restaurant. I'm even happier that it's not just a churrascaria with a bunch of meat on swords and stale side dishes in a buffet station. I've had some decent meals at those kinds of places but once the susbsequent meat coma hits me I usually start dreaming about becoming a vegetarian. This place is really good though- and one of my favorite dishes here, the Picanha Brasileira, is a standard at the churrascaria-style Brazilian restaurants. Picanha is steak (top sirloin?) that's been rubbed with rock salt and grilled. Served with the Picanha is this interesting mix of stuff called feijao tropeiro, it contained beans, bacon, yuka flour, onions, and a few other bits. A lot of the dishes have a Brazilian version of collard greens that I really like. I've tried the two stews they have on the menu and they were both excellent- one was almost like a cioppino and the other, probably because of the coconut milk, reminded me of a thai curry. The martine ceviche is very refreshing- the pineapple makes it taste very different from other ceviches I've tried. I am by no means an expert when it comes to Brazilian drinks, but the Caipirinha here is one of the best I've tried. I got pretty well loaded one night when I decided to drink these instead of the wine I normally have with the Picanha. I've heard a lot of people rave about their breakfasts, but I wasn't really impressed the one time we went. I'm not a breakfast person though and Cafe Antigua is hard to beat in that department. I agree with one of the other reviewers that the atmosphere here is great. The high ceilings, the subdued lighting, the mural depicting the famous Christ the Redeemer statue, and the brazilian yellow and green color scheme make for a comforting place to eat a good dinner. Eating some grub here and drinking a bottle of wine makes me forget that I'm in a place that's still dominated by mostly national chains and company-owned restaurants.

I didn't eat here, but the roof-top patio was great. The drinks were good. It was Friday night, and the live music was great. It's a small, cozy place with heat lamps, so don't let the chilly weather discourage you. Service was good.

My third time to Cafe Do Brazil. Took my wife there for lunch at her request. She chose it for it's Gluten Free items on the menu. I like the exotic atmosphere, even though I never experienced anything quite like this in Brazil or Venezuela. It's kinda yuppified but fun anyway. Server was good. I ordered my food with no tomatoes & it was covered with them. Then they brought back the same dish with the tomatoes scrapped off. I insisted on a new plate which they provided. We couldn't hardly carry a conversation because of the noise but it was pretty busy. I like black beens & rice, so the fact that it was the vast majority of the meal was acceptable. My wife had the Xin-Xin which she liked. Trendy, but I'd go back again. I would definitely need to be in "the mood" to go again.

2 Great Places deserve 2 Reviews. Cafe do Brasil is a great place for brunch. I've had Mothers day and Easter brunch here and everyone is always impressed. Their quiche can be hit or miss, but when its good it is amazing. Their mamosa's are quite tasty too! Bosa Nova Bar is the best view in town. I love sitting up on the roof and ordering a cheap pitcher of Chalk beer. The drinks are good, but pricy and the wait staff can be a little slow. This is where I like to drink.

I hate to give a place that I want to like a lackluster review, but I feel I must. If you're going to call yourself "Cafe do Brasil" you have to do more than just paint the interior of your restaurant green and yellow for authenticity. I suppose that's my beef. That and the fact that very little of the menu is truly Brazilian beyond Feijoada. More like a mix of Latin American with salsa music on the PA. Case in point, they advertise "mojitos" on the tables. Flavorwise, the food was OK. The feijoada was so-so. The black bean soup was actually very good. I don't know what was "Brazilian" about the "Brazilian Pie", but it was a decent enough quiche. Just not anything that reminds me of being in Sao Paulo.

I only ate here once while living in OKC, I recall it being good, but fairly pricey. Nice setting with live music. I remember the appetizer more than the main course, it was incredible.

These folks rescued a Valentine's Day for my wife and I after things went poorly at another restaurant. The weekends are a special treat with live music and their signature delicious menu items. There are some interesting cocktail selections and the Bossa Nova Bar is great for outdoor seating in the right weather.

Cafe do Brasil had been recommended to me multiple times, particularly for brunch. I went today to break away from my usual Museum Cafe or Jimmy's Egg. I will say that atmosphere is interesting, although it's a touch loud in there. The coffee is very, very good. I ordered the Brasilian scramble (a fairly basic breakfast plate of bacon, scrambled eggs with cheese, toast, potatoes, and sliced tomatoes). On the plate is a small cup of hot, green salsa. As the waitress attempted to set the plate down on the table, she said "oops." I don't like hearing oops when it comes to food. Turns out she'd spilled the salsa. I didn't really think anything about it, until I got to the half of my plate that the salsa had penetrated. The roof of my mouth was suddenlly on fire. So, I wasn't able to eat half of my meal. Other than that, it was an adequate, if slightly cold, meal. I don't think I'll be heading back, as nothing else on the menu really appealed, although I could see meeting friends there for drinks.

When I first heard about Cafe Do Brasil- I was like- Yay- The food of my people! I am sure that the food would be great IF it were cooked. I've been here twice and both times my meals were room temperature at warmest. . Whenever I go to a restaraunt, the only thing I want cold are my soft drinks- which by the way were ice cold. I am sure they either added sugar or purchase their sodas from Mexico where there aren't any sugar ilimitations in the soft drinks. Sadly the oversweetened drinks were one of the two highlights of my visits to Cafe Do Brasil. You'll read about the other gem later. I am more than sure that the crab meat is imitation (my aunt is a chef and these are her words). My friend actually ordered the crab and requested it to be warmed and commented on its quality. That was the first complaint. We had to send three different entrees back four times. The wait staff was kind, however we did get the "evil eye" from the owner Ana. The building is beautiful with authentic Brazilian artwork and the restraunt bleeds of a South American vibe. However, I am reviewing this based on the food and nothing more. There is great potential with this restaraunt, even with it's fallacies and shortcomings. Hire a new kitchen staff. The $6.55 that you're paying someone's great great grandpa just ain't getting it done. I know there aren't any Brazilians around here, but atleast hire people whom have a background in food or atleast personal cooking skills. Just because someone will work the hours for the pay won't make them a good employee for the job. Cooking is an art because we all require food to live and we all want the food we eat to satisfy us. It takes someone with skill to satisfy another person. We all know that this line can be implied in other areas of life as well. :) I must say this- they have the best fejodada that I have ever eaten that wasn't made by my grandmother- that is why I must give this place another star

Great service, atmosphere and food. Truly unique! I recommend the FEIJOADA. They say it's the Brazilian national dish. I've had several dishes here and they are all fantastic. This is not an Americanized Brazilian Steak House. This is the real deal with drinks, bakery, authentic dishes and an amazing patio bar on the roof. If the weather is right you must catch a sunset there. Enjoy.

Had breakfast on a Sat (at about 2:00, though), and very good stuff! Carnaval Hangover was great, nice spices that were appropriate for the food, everything done just the right way and quite tasty (chorizo wasn't quite as spicy as it should've been, though). Wife had Ovos Rancheros, which she liked, but said had too much sauce that buried everything on the plate. The baked goods are done by them, not trucked in from somewhere and are OK - apple cake actually has lots of coconut in it, which was unexpected and not appreciated (I don't like coconut), and the cinnamon muffin/biscuit-thing was all right, the wife said, but not cinnamon-y enough.

Came here for brunch and got here a little late, so they were out of a few things. We had the bobo de Frutas and mug alas for entrees, with a pastel de camarao for appetizer, and a Parati drink (vermouth and house champaign). Everything was good. I could have passed on the drink, while it was very refreshing and summery, it was not a good flavor to accompany my meal. The restaurant had a nice, vibrant atmosphere. There was live music, and when the flautist finished there was some really nice bossa nova. The service was excellent. I followed my server's suggestions and she was dead on with everything. The four, instead of five, starts is due to the decor of the restaurant (not my style) and how loud it actually was. I had a really hard time trying to listen to what the waitress was saying, and she definitely has a hard time listening back to me. The menus, both main menu and drink menu, could be sent to the print again for an update. They have obviously seen better days. I have to admit that's my biggest and most pleasant surprise was the Bobo de Frutas. It is a vegetarian dish that I would describe as a fruit stew. It had plantains, onions, tomatoes, yuca, grapes, papaya and some other fruits. It came with steamed veggies and white rice and it was absolutely delicious. I never thought I was going to be saying something good about a vegetarian dish... But this dish proved me wrong. I definitely will be coming back. I might even come just for a coffee and the wonderful, exquisite Maracuja mousse.

Our experience here was outstanding. I have gone several times before for brunch and dinner, and the food has always been very good, but this time's visit was exceptional. My twin sister and I went for our birthday with family. I got the feijoada - pronounced like "fey-jwa-da" - and it was delicious and super filling. I loved the seasoning and collard greens, and there was tons of meat at the bottom of the stone pot that it was served in. Overall it's always my favorite here and is consistently delicious. I also got the Caipirissima, a rum, sugar, and lime drink. It totally took me back to my vacation in Venezuela with fresh rum and limes and it certainly had a kick to go with it. According to our waitress Samantha - who, by the way, was amazing - the bartender is a perfectionist and it showed because the drink was wonderful. My mom got the Espirito da Terra, which are fried pork ribs and they were delicious . The meat was almost dripping off the bones it was so tender and juicy, and the flavor was excellent. She and my sister got the ginger mojito to drink and the bartender showed off her skills on those too because they were wonderful. Normally, I don't like too many ginger or ginger beer drinks, but with the fresh mint and perfectly muddled limes, this drink was very refreshing. My dad got the Salmon a Vila Verde, and it too was very good. He got more of the sauce that comes with it because it had such a wonderful flavor. The fish was tender and juicy and even for my sister and I who don't like fish, it was very mild. It didn't have any of the overpowering fishiness that fish dishes often have. My sister got the Picanha Special, which was a divine medium-rare grilled steak with chimichurri sauce. The steak was large and juicy, and the chimichurri sauce was fresh and had an excellent flavor. Lastly, since it was our birthday both my sister and I got a free desert of our choice from the menu. It was nice that we got to pick something rather than just having a standard desert, even more so since it was free. I got the Sonos de Chocolate, which is kind of like a chocolate flan with raspberry and passion fruit sauce. It was very good, though a little heavy after the feijoada. My sister got the Mousse de Maracuja, which was an amazing little passion fruit mousse. I would definitely recommend it. Finally the surprise of the night to top off the wonderful dinner were birthday cards given to my sister and I that were personally signed by the staff. It was an amazing and completely unexpected touch that topped off all the personal touches that Cafe do Brasil obviously puts into their dishes and service.

I've never been to Brazil, but I've been to Cafe do Brasil, so I kind of have. I love Latin cuisine, but everything here was something new to me. I scanned the menu looking for something that I could pronounce, but even when I said it out loud, I'm sure I said it wrong. I landed on Xin Xin, a combination of shrimp and chicken in palm oil, coconut milk, cashews, peanut paste. It was phenomenal. I also tried their cheesy bread, which was incredible, definitely a must have if you come here. It's not like anything you've probably tried, and not what I expected. I love venturing out and trying new foods from different cultures, and I'm glad I was able to add this to my list. I'm excited to return and try their brunch!

  • Linh S.

The cheesy bread reminds me of one of my favorite summers spent with a Brazilian family. As far as other food, I and my diner mates have always have thoroughly enjoyed the fare and service. Anything from the salads, fish and chicken are prepared with the perfect amount of seasoning, spices and care. The staff are knowledgable about the menu and will offer suggestions to your flavor profiles, which is always a bonus when entertaining out-of-town guests. If you have the opportunity, their happy hour specials and live music on the rooftop/Bassa Nova are a must while in midtown Oklahoma City.

We just keep getting drawn back here, whether it is for brunch, lunch, dinner or drinks, there's something here for every occasion. I can't pick the one thing that makes my meal, but I do always get the Caipirinha, and just recently learned I can order a double! They also always bring out this eggplant-y stuff over warm bread that can't be beat. I could make a meal out of it alone, and have on a couple of occasions. The seafood is great, the steaks are great and the brunch is great. The service is always impeccable and we always walk away with a smile. I've been able to share this place with my friends who have gluten allergies, and they have enjoyed having the fresh bread available. Desserts? Yes, have one, or two! They are great. This is a not-to-be-missed place in OKC.

Where to begin!!?? The restaurant is nestled inside an architectural representation of their menu! The atmosphere embraces your imagination while the dishes delight your tongue!! Lots of incredible vegetable dishes! A wonderful variety of Quiches! One of my favorite spots! :)

I came here years ago for a private party and remember the food being great. I recently came for brunch and was impressed too. The layout is very open and makes for a fun atmosphere. It was a bit loud and echo-y, especially with the live music, but it was a fun ambiance for sure! We had a few pitchers of mimosas (it is brunch, after all) and most of my table had the migallas. Essentially scrambled eggs with crunchy tortilla chips mixed up with lots of goodness - tomatoes, jalapenos, cilantro, onions. Yum. Also served with tortillas, refried beans, some cheesy potatoes and some type of green sauce/salsa, which I pretty much just poured over the whole plate. All good. Another good thing about Cafe do Brasil is it's not packed like a lot of brunch places in town. A lot of the trendy brunch spots in town have 30+ minute waits on Sundays, but we got right in with a group of 6! It got busy after that, but I was happy with that aspect. I wouldn't mind coming back for brunch another time.

I went there for brunch and it was pretty fantastic. There was a group of us; ten, I believe. For such a large group, our server did very well. It felt slow at times, but mostly picking up and retuning checks/cards. Orders were taken in a timely manner and I never noticed my water being empty. He also was on top of the continuous mimosa orders of the party. Nice fella, too! I had the guarana soft drink which was tasty. A good alternative to regular soda, I'd say. Feijoado Rolinho (A mixture of black beans, rice, and shredded pork rolled up in spring roll shells) (5/5): These delightful little things cost $8 and about five or six cam out. They're thick and I wasn't expecting them to be so plentiful! So $8 seems like a steal, especially since there were enough to share with a few people who also enjoyed them! Piping hot and crispy but not greasy. The insides were perfectly delicious. Xin-Xin (Chicken and shrimp cooked in palm oil and coconut milk with cashews, peanut paste, dry shrimp, and fresh herbs. Served over rice with vinaigrette and farofa) (4/5): The description isn't quite accurate, I think. The rice was served on the side and I was expecting a different sort of farofa. Though, it looked like it was the more powdery form that was in a metal container so you can sprinkle it over your food as you like. The shrimp and chicken were cooked near perfectly, and the taste was mild. It was great to mix with the rice and light enough for a breakfast/brunch.

Started off with two great appetizers, the mussels and the avocado salad. Unfortunately, the entree fell flat for me. They also ran out of the wine I ordered and replaced it with a another, but it was warm. I would give this place another shot, but I'm thinking its a bit overrated from what I experienced.

The food is always amazing at Café do Brasil and very reasonably priced! If you are coming here for brunch, the Migallas are a great pick. For lunch I've tried the Virado, Tissao and the Perere. Each one is very flavorful and filling! Café do Brasil also has a lot of gluten free options, which is always a big win for me. If you have room for more food, get a side of plantains. You won't be disappointed!

Decided to have a date night here with the Missus and was pleasantly surprised with my experience. CdB has a nice, open layout and although there isn't much privacy, I didn't feel that my space was being invaded. Our waitress for the night was extremely polite and had a good understanding of what a 20-something white guy from the South should expect from a restaurant that doesn't serve chicken fried steak and fried okra. In other words, she recommended to me what I should try since, a) I couldn't pronounce half of the stuff on the menu, and b) didn't know what half of the stuff on the menu actually was. Her recommendation of Arroz De Dama Rica was on point! And honestly...how could it not be when the dish has top sirloin, grilled chicken breast, spicy sausage, and bacon. (Mmmmmm...succulent meats!) It was prepared perfectly and served in a bowl that I never saw the bottom of because I couldn't eat all of my food. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at CdB. The food is authentic and not catered to the public with watered down, "Americanized" dishes. I have a feeling the Missus and I will be returning here sooner rather than later.

Brazilian cuisine can be a hard find in Oklahoma. Featuring traditional and fusion items, Cafe Do Brasil serves up some of the best dishes inspired by the Latin world. Featuring a rooftop and patio seating with occasional live jazz performances, this restaurant can be an excellent date option. Cut meats and crafted drinks are signatures of Cafe Do Brasil. Order fresh strawberry and spinach salad is a great starter. Received a large platter of glazed goodies. We found yucca and plantains complementing supreme cuts of steak and my favorite item, Brazilian style ribs. The chicken was a bit dry, but enjoyed the seasoning. Every food item was flavorful, including sides of rice and beans. Service was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable. We plan on another experience soon.

Anna and her team do a outstanding job. I was assigned to job that took me to OKC for a few years and this became my go to place for real Brazilian food. Having been to Rio for Carnival I fell in love with with everything Brazil. So much so when my assignment ended and I moved back to Omaha Nebraska, the following two years my wife and I would drive all the way to OKC just to enjoy dinner and drinks at Cafe Do Brazil and the Bos Anova roof top bar. Everything is great, try something different every time!

I went here for brunch and had a great time. I ordered the huevos rancheros and it was really good! The prices were reasonable and the space was nice. It has more of a relaxed, home-vibe instead of a modern, hip vibe like some other restaurants in the area (think Stella, O-bar), so if that's what you're going for, I'd suggest a different brunch place. I heard that they do salsa dancing on Saturday nights and am excited to try it out then. I think it'd be a lot of fun!

Oh yum! got to go back to Cafe do Brasil this past Mother's Day and we all had a wonderful time and tasty food - as expected! They were very busy but that had no impact on the good quality of the food, service or friendliness; the chef/owner Ana even came over to say hello, unhurried and friendly as if they weren't fully booked. We ordered from the Brunch menu; lighter fare but delicious. The only reason I plan on dinner next time is because I'm such a carnivore and their meat dishes are soooo good!

This a place for good food, South American style. We also like their Sunday brunch. They have a selection of dishes with rice, beans eggs and they do a good eggs Benedict too. The staff is cordial and efficient and we've never been kept waiting for a seat. I would not order their version of french toast again however. It was a small slice of bread that was hard with fruit over top and a sauce of cream anglaise and fruit compote over it. The fruit was primarily melon out of season and not much else. It's probably the only dish I have had that wasn't up to their usual good fare. The coffee is good and desserts are wonderful. I think I'd recommend their dinners as their best features.

This place has been on my list ever since I can remember. I had heard that its a great place for brunch, so my friend and I organized a group together for the International Women's Day to grab some brunch here! To start with, the ambiance of this place is great. I wish it was spacious though. It seemed like the floor was crowded from all the tables. They should probably reorganize the seating -- I'm a tad bit claustrophobic! Next, I ordered their Mimosa and coffee (I'm a coffee addict!). The mimosa was strong. I could feel it in just one glass. I am also lightweight! LOL I loved their teacup arrangement with the coffee. It was very classic and simple, yet pretty! Now to the food. I ordered their eggs Benedict with cheese bread, because the waitress informed me that the cheese bread is very popular with the Benedict, so naturally I went for it! If I had to describe it in one word I would say, Alright! I've had better eggs Benedict in OKC. Their cheese bread was pretty hard to cut through. The hollandaise sauce was also Ok. They did put a lot of it on there as well. I got a side of fresh fruits with creamy raspberry sauce with my dish. Oh my god, that was delicious. I hate honey dew, but I ate all of my fruits that day. Needless to say, I enjoyed my company, and the environment. I did enjoy certain parts of my food. The Benedict didn't lived up to my expectations but I would not completely remove this place from my list simply because of that. They have great other items on the menu that I would love to go back and try.

Cafe do Brasil is somewhere that I've seen countless times but never went until recently. I really loved the food and and was happy to try some things that I would't usually order. Not that I'm not adventurous with food, but with Latin cuisine, I'm definitely a novice. This was a great introduction and made me realize how much I like this type of food! I had the Arroz de Pescador and it was so flavorful. This is a great place to try something new and the atmosphere and service make it well worth the money. Unfortunately, the Bossa Nova Bar was closed for renovations, so I wasn't about to check it out, but would like to in the future! I'd also love to try their brunch!

What a great place! I have only been for brunch but let me tell you.... IT'S DELICIOUS!!!!! Friendly and professional staff, beautiful setting, and amazing food! I recommend the Eggs Benedict for brunch and I cannot wait to try their dinner menu! They also carry my favorite Portuguese wine (Twin Vines)!!!!! The waitstaff is attentive, the food always comes out to our table quick and it's always presented beautifully! Complements to the chef!!!! Obrigado!

Great service. Incredible food. Get the churrascada for two. It's a platter of assorted Brazilian meats. The espinato ribs were so interestingly different, in a good way. Decor is...a little cheesy. They really wanted to sell the whole brazil thing........so they painted the walls and ceilings yellow and green! If they repainted they could have a much classier look. One negative though...their drinks were just okay. Maybe just not what I was looking for compared to the exotic flavors I've had in Brazilian cocktails at other places. Also, the server Josh is an absolute cutie ;)

I've always loved coming to Cafe do Brasil with a group of my international friends. We enjoyed music and drinks on the rooftop and always felt very welcomed by the staff and owners. I finally got a chance to try it for dinner and was a little disappointed. I'm allergic to melons and wanted to try the romeo and juilet, and ask my waitress if I could leave off the guava not knowing if I would have a reaction. She said she would check with the cooks and let me know. Since I never heard anything I figured everything was ok. When she delivered my food, she told me she talked to the cooks and they promised it was not melon and they went ahead and cooked it with my dish. I should have immediately sent it back and ordered something differently, or I would have ordered something differently if the waitress had told me this prior, but I was with a large group and I didn't want to cause a scene. The dish was good, but the meat was a little tough and bland in flavor. After eating, later that night I started itching on my face and I had broken out in hives all over my face and neck. I knew it had to be from the guava. I'm really sad I had this experience because I always loved this restaurant.

We came with friends who swore we had to eat here for my husband's 35th birthday. The room was decorated with authentic memorabilia and beautiful murals. There was classical music playing and NO TVs! It felt like we had stepped out of the city and into a larger authentic Café. Ana, the owner and chef, came out of the kitchen to greet us and again to check that our meal was going well. He had the kabob and loved every bit of it. The picanha and chicken were his favorites. The sides were plentiful and so well seasoned. I had the picanha special and enjoyed every flavorful bite. The meals for our children were wonderful and full flavored too! We ended the night with desserts that were decadent (both the flan and a chocolate mousse with raspberry and passion fruit sauces) and a singing of happy birthday along with a nice card signed by the staff. Our server was Jason who was polite, made sure everyone had anything they could have asked for, and went above and beyond for our party of 8. Needless to say... we'll be repeat customers for many trips to OKC to come.

I love this place. They have delicious vegan dishes but everything I have tried on the menu is wonderful. All the rice dishes are incredible. Lots of the food comes in a clay pot. Way cool. Atmosphere is great. Drinks are good. There is some inconsistency with the food as when I've ordered the same dish on multiple occasions, it can come out quite different. Also, the service can be slow. I do highly recommend this restaurant, though. It's a great date night.

Amazing!! If I could give this place 6 stars, I would! My taste buds were BLOWN AWAY! This was my first Brazilian food experience, so I asked the waitress for her opinion. I had Bo bo de Frutas and the marachoco for dessert. My main meal was fruit in coconut milk with a ton of flavor! It sounded strange on the menu but I loved it. And the dessert was passion fruit moose with a layer of chocolate mousse. I wanted to order a second, but was too full. Such a great experience! The staff was great and the owner ever stopped by our table to see how everything was.

Sometimes you just want something different and so it was one Sunday morning when we were visiting OKC. A friend had commented on the food at Café do Brasil and we decided to be adventurous and give it a try. Best thing we did all weekend! The food was great and the service was fast and friendly. It was just what we were looking for, a culinary treat!

I was in OKC for work and found myself needing to scratch a Brazilian food itch. This place has an excellent and inviting atmosphere. Great selection of Brazilian dishes, I am no expert but the flavors seemed very traditional and authentic. I will definitely come back to try the seafood! The wait staff was absolutely excellent!

My boyfriend and I had dinner here this past weekend and I have no complaints at all. He got the Romeo and Julietta. It is a pork loin with Gruyere cheese and guava pasta wrapped in phillo dough. He said that it was the BEST meal he has ever had. I tried his and I agree with him 100%. I got a bean and pork soup this time. It was very hearty and had great flavor. They have the best ginger mojito i have ever had. It is sweet and gingery and just amazing. The decor is cheesy but I loved it. It was nice and warm inside as well, which was nice since it was raining and cold outside. They had music playing loudly but that just created a more fun date for us. Our waitress was very pleasant and met all our needs speedily. We had several others come by and ask how we were doing as well. They also have a rooftop bar which I have not yet seen but I have heard that is great. We will definitely be back here soon.

Wonderful. Had 3 course dinner for 2 (seafood)....really flavorful. Large portion and could easily have been shared by 3 guests. Six total at the table and everyone really enjoyed. One got steak and collard greens and ate every bit.....The server Ana was charming and efficient. It was a little hard to hear at times and my martini was "dirtied" with sweet olive juice and it didn't seem to have vermouth (but my husband didn't care and drank it all).....everyone else loved their drinks. Overall, really enjoyable. Will go back.

The food is really good but every time I have come...they cannot seem to get my order right. But once they do...the food is great. Coffee is great!! Green sauce is very spicy but delicious! Hubby had an eggshell in his eggs today. After that..he enjoyed his eggs. Homemade wheat bread is good just wish there was also a white option. Hubby loves the cheese bread. It is gluten free. On Saturday mornings...the waitress, Aryn, is great to get. The waiter, Randy, not so much. They would get more stars from me if they could get my order right & had better wait staff.

Fantastic! I have been here a couple times and haven't been disappointed yet. I forget what it's called but there's a 3 course for 2 people with several kinds of meat, rice, black beans, and collard greens, that's what you want and quite honestly the ribs and sausage are the best meats on the plate.

I've been to Cafe do Brasil so many times over the years. The food has never disappointed me. Service has always been friendly helpful, however it can be slow at times. Cocktails are delicious! Portions are very large and enough for two to share. Unless you're starving, then get your own plate. Last night, my gals and I came here for dinner before heading out to see a musical at the Civic Center down the street. While all the dishes were great, we all LOVED the Romeo and Juliet. The risotto was perfectly cooked and the flavor burst of havarti and guava with the pork was an unexpected surprise. I had the Arroz de Pescadoe (seafood on rice) and it was very flavorful and delicious. One gal had the Churrasco Misto, and while it was good, it wasn't spectacular. It'll be good for anyone in your party who's not adventurous in their food (your steak and potatoes friend who wrinkles their nose at the word "pomme frite"). The Mariscos Salad was very good, fresh, and refreshing. Next time I come back though, I'm ordering my own Romeo and Juliet so I won't torture myself nibbling on my friend's dish!

Happy OKC has a place like this. Food is REALLY good, but we won't come very often because the prices are very high (like wayyyyy too high). Nonetheless the food is 5 stars but for how expensive it is, I would only come a couple times a year

Sold on the vibrant decor in the dining room. I walked in this morning thinking I should have come a long time ago. Arriving at 10 am for brunch was smart- the dining room wasn't crowded and we were serviced right away (and maybe too well- I like happy servers, but felt the eclectic staff were a little too friendly, almost as if it were a party rather than brunch.) So, the coffee isn't great. It was watered down and tasted a bit stale to me. On the upside, I learned how to pronounce "leite" :) I was happier with my hot water and lemon, which was beautifully presented despite my waiter's confusion when I ordered it. I really wanted the Tropical Delight, but wasn't sure it was Brazilian enough... fortunately, my companion wanted to order and let me taste the Orfeou Negro. So, I went for the fruit-heaped, raspberry-sauced, powdered sugar-topped french toast that is the "Tropical Delight". Wow. Our waiter told me right away that the portion of French Toast was rather small and that he would be happy to bring me more, but it was so buttery and rich that I couldn't possibly have accepted more; I couldn't even finish the portion I was given. It was nice to start off the morning with so much fruit, and the rich toast was just sweet enough without the usual french toast dripping in overly saccharine syrup. The Orfeou Negro seemed small in comparison to the Tropical Delight. The broth and beans were well-seasoned, and the pork was delicious, but the green sauce was super duper spicy and the overcooked poached egg didn't break and run into the soup as I had hoped. The Orfeou Negro came with a cheesy roll that was really dense and chewy- more cheese than bread- which we let sit on the side until we finished the soup. I wonder how much that would have helped temper the heat of the soup. I'm ready to try Cafe do Brasil again, right away. Other breakfast choices were tempting, and the dinner and drinks menu looks excellent. I'll be back soon!

Went back last night for the first time in a while, like at least 6 months. A group decided to get dinner there last moment and they quickly sat a big group of us, about 10. Graham (if that is how you spell it) was our waiter and did one of the best jobs I have seen a waiter do for a big group of people. This is even with the automatic 20% or so gratuity. He still worked hard to make sure we had a good experience. Furthermore, he told us about the automatic included tip when he gave us our bills. The ambiance during dinner was great, and the music was good and not so loud. I got some steak dish that was excellent. The St. Ginger drink was popular with some people at my table. If you come here for dinner go upstairs to the Bossa Nova bar afterwards and enjoy more drinks. Once the weather warms up the rooftop will be great.

I came for Brunch on a Saturday and was not overly impressed, not bad, and if you're wanting to try something new, they do have a couple of different options not regularly found on other brunch menus. The feel is not your typical brunch feel and the lighting just doesn't feel right. I just think that OKC has a number of better options out there.

This place was AMAZING!!!! I've never had Brazilian food before, but I definitely want to try more!!! I had the Frejoada (I think I spelt it right haha). It's a traditional Brazilian dish (why I tried it) and it was awesome! Each bite was a burst of flavor. If you want something more subtle, but with a very rich flavor, I recommend the Bo-Bo de Frutas. Don't let the crazy combination of ingredients steer you away...it's surprisingly awesome! And you have to get dessert and I highly recommend the Marachoco. You will have many many mouth-gasms. Satisfaction guaranteed!

Main thing that stood out is the weird music. Didn't really go and the one man band was...interesting. Fiance had Arroz Gaucho and it was just ok. Pretty much a big bowl of rice with a variety of meats. My meal, Arroz De Pescador, came out after he finished his bowl but was worth the wait. It was amazing. The rice was cooked in a tomato sauce and the seafood was plentiful...shrimp, calamari, clams, mussels, fish. $100 for our meal with 4 drinks. Not bad. We also had the appetizer Coxinhade Galnha which was very tasty. The chicken filling had great flavor and it had just the right amount of breading, not too heavy. The service is slightly slow. Maybe it was the 12 top.

Love this place!! I went back home to Oklahoma to visit, and I wanted to take my family out to a good dinner. They always rely on me for picking out the food. This place is very, VERY fare priced and they have some really amazing Brazilian dishes. They have a large variety of things to choose from on their menu as well. The atmosphere was lovely and they had some very cool fixtures throughout the place. They had a guy in the corner playing the synthesizer... which was a little odd, but he got out a saxophone, and that sounded much better. I mostly try to factor in everything when it comes to reviews such as service, surroundings, cleanliness this place definitely deserves 5 stars for the food alone. There were 14 of my HUGE family here and not one person had a complaint. I definitely recommend getting beef when you go here. Brazilians are known for their steaks especially, and here...they are so tender. I ordered the Picahna Special. It's a grilled steak with their famous chimichurri sauce. AMAZING. The collard greens where the best I've had too. They were shredded, sauteed with garlic and placed under the steak. They were cooked perfect. My boyfriend got the Camarao Com Catupriy. It was sauteed shrimp served with a tomato sauce with wine, garlic, peppers, cilantro...etc. It was served with rice and vegetables. It was very good, and we shared because my steak was much better. The rest of my family got the 3 course dinners for two and numerous other things. Everyone that got steak raved about it. But everyone still enjoyed their dishes. They also have really delicious side salads that are very large for only $2. This place is definitely worth trying if you're close to downtown because it's very authentic and they also have some very tasty Brazilian drinks. I LOVE this place and it will be on my list to visit every time I go home!

I loved this place the first time I went there. I didn't love it the second time. I don't even remember what I got except that it was a little blah. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't great. Its a cool spot in a cool spot, so that's nice. And I hope the next time I go it's better. Please be better.

The food is acceptable at best..... When you finally recieve it. We sat up stairs to enjoy the rooftop recently and were more than dissapointed. It took over 15 minutes to recieve our drinks and at least 45 minutes to recieve our tapas appetizers. When the food arrived it was over cooked and contained far to to much salt and batter. This is the 5th time I've been to the restraunt because I believe in giving places more than one opportunity to impress me. However, this time was certainly my last. With so many wonderful places popping up in midtown to dine at, this place would be on the bottom of my list.

The owner, Anna is a good friend of mine and I have watched her place evolve over the years. Unfortunately I never get by there nearly enough to eat...partly because I am never in town and the other part is well....the Mrs is Brazilian so we have this kind of fare quite often at the house. For anyone that is not in with the Brazilian population here in OKC (which there are more than you may think) Cafe do Brazil offeres a wonderful selection of traditional and Brazilian fusion meals.

2nd time here - 1st was for drinks upstairs, but this is for downstairs. Ended up here after parking behind them and trying to go to K&8th food truck "fest" last Friday night. So, it's ~100 degrees at 8 PM, and there are no less than 50 people in line at each of the food trucks - just not gonna happen. So me and the misses check yelp and low and behold, I had wanted to go here and try the food anyway. Go in and we are one of only 2 tables occupied (Labor day weekend) - but I'm fine with that. So onto the food: Free appetizer of a eggplant dip and bread. Great, with a little spicy kick in the background. Should really be a smaller portion so I can spend more $$. Get the mussels app - cooked in a SUPER leek/garlic/kale sauce. Sauce is the star - get extra bread to mop it up. Wifey and I split a rice dish. Big bowl of rice, sausage, kale, and other stuff mixed up. Boy - what a dish. Takes a good chef to take simple ingredients and make something great. Letdown was the desert - the Passionfruit mouse with chocolate "mousse" - chocolate was liquefied and too heavy - was overwhelming. So, overall much better than average, hit the spot with good service, and great food. Music, a little loud. Just as others have mentioned, sit farther away.

My wife and I had a date at Cafe do Brasil last weekend. It was our first time there for dinner. We had just left another restaurant because we couldn't get any service, so I was really hoping this place would make her happy and my belly full. The moment we walked in the door, we were greeted by a very friendly hostess and seated within seconds. Our server was everything a great server should be. She was prompt, but not irritating. I ordered the Arroz Gaucho and my wife had one of their steak entrees with collard greens and black beans. Our entrees were served within about 15 minutes minutes, both fresh and piping hot. Everything was delicious. My wife had a Caipirinha and I had an IPA. She loved the caipirinha. The atmosphere was nice, with live music. I will definitely be returning to Cafe do Brasil.

Came here for dinner while visiting one of my BFFs in OKC a few months ago. We started with the calamari appetizer, had the steaks for the main course. Everything was very well prepared & tasty. We had a lovely evening. Nice ambiance, great service-our server was super sweet & efficient. Drinks were really good. I was surprised that for a Saturday night the place was rather quite, just a few other tables besides us. But I am used to NYC Saturdays so can't really compare.

Small complaints are that we got wrong menus when we sat down, it took 10 minutes to get our waitress over to us to take our drink orders then took another 20 to actually receive the drinks. When we finally did get our order and it took about 40 minutes for it to arrive. HOWEVER our biggest complaint is that We went to this restaurant because they had touted how safe they were with allergies. However our waitress had no knowledge of any kind of allergies and seem to not inform the kitchen when we instructed her about special needs. The manager was less than sympathetic towards their mistake. He comp'ed one of our meals but charged us for an extra side of steamed veggies which he offered to our table! To top it off, the food was bland and the music was loud. Not a good experience. Update: After all that we were still "glutened".

I haven't given @cafedobrazilokc much of a chance, I admit it. I have lived in the 'hood for 8 years, but yet have never considered them as a dining option when trying to decide where to eat. But all of that is about to change. I love the dining room ambiance at Cafe Do Brazil. It is open and has nice natural light; the architecture and decor has a strong latin influence so it doesn't feel like I am in OKC. I am thrilled to know what great lunches they serve. I had a dinner experience once, many years ago when I first moved to the area, and it did not impress me to come back. I would eventually like to try dinner there again, but what will really keep me coming back is their lunch. They have great options for salads, sandwiches, and latin inspired entrees. The salads and sandwiches are fresh and have an American slant for the non-adventurous eaters. I appreciate the fresh, good quality salads. So many places offer mundane, traditional salads but Cafe Do Brazil steps out of the box. I have tasted some of their highly praised latin entrees from my friend's plates. They are perfect portions, packed with tons of flavor and authentic ingredients. However, I always order a lunch special when I go. The lunch specials are the bomb! They always offer three daily specials: 1) an item from their brunch menu 2) quiche, featured salad, and a cup of soup 3) a latin inspired special. All specials are $8 and come with iced tea! And a perk for me is that they have tropical flavored tea, which makes it that much better. Every Friday they have homemade empanadas with a salad as the latin special. Last time, it came with a delicious strawberry spinach salad. So flavorful and a great deal! The other day, I ordered their quiche special, which was served with an orange almond salad and a cup of potato soup. I could choose between broccoli cheese or xin-xin quiche. I chose xin-xin, which is chicken and shrimp cooked in palm oil, coconut milk, cashews, peanut paste, dry shrimp and fresh herbs. It was so yummy! For $8, you really can't beat this deal. I was stuffed by the time I was finished eating. My friend and I weren't in a hurry, so we took our time at ordering and eating. Despite being leisurely, we were still in and out in an hour, which makes this a great place for lunch hour or business lunches. While you are there, check out their fresh made muffins and desserts. They are hand crafted from a pasty chef, and are worth the calories. Cafe Do Brazil, I am sorry I neglected you. You are now on my list of quick, healthy lunch places at a reasonable price. I can't wait to go back.

Aside from the dinner menu, brunch at Cafe Do is also a must. When the weather is nice you can ask to sit outside, gotta love that Midtown area. Their menu is always changing / rearranging slightly, but they have a little bit of everything: eggs & quiches, rice dishes, salads, sandwiches. I always stick with the carnaval hangover. It's scrambled eggs mixed with veggies and what not, served with homemade refried beans, crispy potatoes, and my favorite is the salsa verde - typically I'll have to ask for another side or two of this stuff. Best to scoop it all up and roll it in a tortilla. You don't actually need to be hungover to enjoy it, although it certainly wouldn't hurt. I love their fresh coffee, and I believe they do pretty decent drink specials during brunch hours: 2 or 3 dollar mimosas or something of that sort. So, you can actually work on your next hangover while you're still getting over the last. Brilliant. Overall Grade: A-

When owner Ana Davis decided she would move to the United States from her native Belo Horizonte, Brasil, she closed her eyes, pointed to the map. When she opened her eyes, her finger was on a little town called OKC. Today, you could say she has her finger on the pulse of OKC. Since humble beginnings in the Victoria Building on Classen, Cafe do Brasil has grown into an important fiber in the cultural quilt of our quickly growing little burg. Now located at 11th and Walker, the new and improved Cafe do Brasil is also home to Bossa Nova: At the Top. The restaurant features lunch and dinner, while Bossa Nova offers traditional Brazilian drinks such as the Caipirinha, and during warm-weather months when the rooftop patio is open, one of the the best views of changing OKC skyline and a wonderful, varied schedule of live music. For Lunch: My favorite is the Prato Sao Paulo. Black beans and chicken atop delicious rice. The green sauce is spicy spicy spicy, so take a sample before you spoon it on top. I also love the spinach salad with a cup of black bean soup. Whatever you do, don't miss out on the warm Pao de Quejo (cheese bread) which is also a gluten free treat. For Dinner: While there are lots of items on this menu to celebrate, dinner is not the main meal in Brasil, so you might notice that some of these dishes have been altered to accommodate the tastes of Norte Americanos - bigger portions, more meat, etc. And while I always promise myself I'll try something new, I end up sticking with one of my all time fave meals, the Feijoda, which is the national dish of Brasil. A rich black bean stew with pork meat and sausage is served with collard greens, rice, farofa (ground yuka with roasted garlic and butter). Having lived there, I can tell you this dish is as close to Brasil as you can get without going through customs. For Brunch: You can't make a mistake with Carnival Hangover, Migalla or the Tropical Delight. Their new item, Orfeou Negro is delicious but was too spicy even for the spice-loving Mr. K. Ask for it with the green sauce on the side. Don't forget $2 mimosas- how could you? Bossa Nova Bar: All the drinks are great, the view is killer, and the yummy traditional apps are half price Tuesday-Friday from 5P - 7P. They book great bands on the patio, but no patio in the cold months so you might call and check first. Tip: It can get loud inside, so don't go if you're looking for intimate conversation, though the upstairs bar is very cozy inside. I say CdB gets 5 out of 5 beijos! (kisses)

Usually when I travel I like to try new foods, so after reading the great reviews, I decided to try Brazilian food for the first time. I was incredibly impressed my the food that I decided to write this review. The food was GREAT!! I rate it 4 stars because I was not entirely impressed with the service. I've been to many restaurants to know great customer service, but the food is so good it's worth a shot!!!

My husband and I took my mom here for Mother's Day brunch last Sunday. It was delicious! Hostess: 5 stars I called Tuesday to make reservations, and they had plenty of availability. Making the reservation was easy, and the person I spoke with was very friendly. We arrived a few minutes before our reservations, let the hostess know we had arrived, and were promptly seated. We overheard long waits for people without reservations, but they still managed to try and squeeze them in around their existing reservations. Atmosphere: 3 stars They had someone with a keyboard and saxophone playing music in the restaurant. It was a bit on the loud side and made it difficult to carry on a conversation. It didn't help that the ceilings were tall and the restaurant was noisy in general, so it was a bit louder than I would have preferred. I don't know if the music was a regular happening or something special going on for Mother's Day, but I could have done without it. The decor is fitting for the restaurant and quite interesting. It provides the opportunity to be a conversation piece. Service: 4 stars The wait staff did they best they could do, but still, service was slow, and we were there for 2 hours. While I was not in a rush, and anticipated slow service on Mother's Day, it was a bit frustrating that a restaurant, who took reservations and was nearly booked solid, didn't have the proper amount of staff on hand to handle the special occasion. I never once saw the wait staff slacking off, and they seemed very overwhelmed. I never got my drink refilled, but there were one or two people who walked around with a coffee pot and they did a fine job of keeping my husband's cup full. Our food was a bit slow to come out, but not something I would knock them down too hard for, considering how busy they were and that it was Mother's Day. All these issues seemed more of a management issue rather than an actual wait staff issue. For this, I am trying not to knock them too hard since it was Mother's Day. I only take off a star from the lack of preparation and again, it's more for management. If it were not Mother's Day, I would likely give them 3 stars for service. Menu: 5 stars The menu selection was impressive. We had an 11:30am reservation and were there for brunch. They had 3 pages of delicious meal options, all described well. Things were broken down into 8 or so categories: Appetizers, Beverages, Breakfast, Quiches, Rice, Vegetarian Specials, House Specials, Desserts, and I feel like I'm missing something else... maybe Soups, Sandwiches, and Salads? Everything was clearly marked as gluten free, vegetarian, or containing nuts. The descriptions were clear and concise, and everything that we ordered came out as described and expected. Food!: 5 stars This was my first time experiencing Brazilian food, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I thought it was delicious! We ordered the Feijoada Rolinho - (see picture) $8.50, appetizer. They were 3 huge rolls, sliced in half. They were served up with a very interesting sauce that I think had horseradish, mayo, and something mild with a kick. I didn't detect much meat in them, but they were still delicious. They were quite greasy, but that didn't stop me! Be careful, they are filling! For my meal, my husband and I had something with the word "hangover" in it. The menu online is different than what was offered to us. It was 3 scrambled eggs with chorizo. It had some mild seasoning to give it a nice warm, rounded flavor. It was served with boiled potatoes with a bit of cheese and some spicy green sauce, homemade refried beans, and 3 tortillas. I don't think the tortillas were homemade, but they were still good. The beans were fabulous! They have a very unique flavor with some warm spices. The potatoes with the green sauce were awesome! I put everything in a tortilla and dabbed some sauce on for an extra kick. My mom ordered the Strogonoff De Frango (chicken strogonoff) - Strips of grilled chicken breast and mushrooms flambeed in white wine then cooked in light cream sauce. Served over rice topped with crunchy potatoes, $9. She was a huge fan! I tried a bite and the chicken was so tender and delicate. It tasted like it had been slow roasted. The flavors of the dish were full bodied and well rounded. My husband reports that the coffee was fantastic and very smooth. Mom and I had mimosas and they were made with quality champagne and what seemed like fresh squeezed orange juice. For dessert both my mom and hubby had the Apple Cake - A warm spice cake moist and full of flavors. Topped with whipped cream, $5. It was very good, and extremely moist, and the whipped cream was real whipped cream, as in, not from a can. Overall: 4 stars Delicious food that was very filling served up in a unique atmosphere. I thought the prices were very reasonable and we got more food than we could eat. I will definitely go back again!

The food is AWFUL!!! Brunch is fine. Lunch, bleh. Dinner, god no. upstairs for drinks and apps. HELL NO. Bottom line, horrible food. Owner is friendly. Staff downstairs has it more together than the mass chaos upstairs. Customers, PLEASE don't ask the hostess why you can't sit outside when they tell you there's a wait. A wait means there isn't any space available. It is NOT the hostesses fault its full. I was upstairs for maybe an hour and EVERY single person that couldn't get a seat threw a hissy fit. A bunch of spoiled brats going out on a Friday night. geez.

Last time I went here, it was March of 2010. I had been craving their kosher as hell feijoada (it's not) Seriously, I dreamt of that stuff - and that's really saying something because I loathe greens, but these ones are good. The feijoada is delicious and I could live off of it. Anyway, every time I'm back in OKC I want to eat at this restaurant because it's so ridiculously tasty. Their one downfall is that wait times are ridiculously long. I thought it was a bit weird the Musician was playing Jingle Bells in March, but whatever.

Delicious and unique brunch! Such a surprise in OKC during our cross-country trip. The servers were super friendly and the menu was very creative. We sat outside with our dog on their patio. As we were about to get seated, we started chatting with some servers who were there for brunch on their day off. Now that speaks volumes of the restaurant. The brunch cocktails were ridiculously cheap! I still don't get it, but our bloody mary and mimosa were $2-3 each. What??? The bloody mary wasn't the best I've ever had, but was still spicy and strong. We had two amazing brunch dishes. Very well seasoned and thoroughly satisfying. They also have plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian options.

My husband and I have been meaning to try this place ever since we moved here last October...now I wish we have done it sooner! So so so good! After catching a film at the OKC Art museum we thought we should stop in Cafe Do Brasil and have a nice "date night" dinner. We were seated right away it was probably around 730/8pm and the restaurant was beginning to fill up and had a great vibe going. The walls are painted cleverly and everyone was at the tables happily chatting away. We ordered a bottle of wine to share and started off with the Black Mussels for the appetizer. As we enjoyed the wine and Mussels I suddenly realized that the Jazz flute music I was hearing was live! Awesome also the guy playing jazz flute was also playing the keyboard and the saxophone!! AND walking around engaging with the guests. I must say I was impressed. For dinner I didn't know what to order as everything sounded exotic and I admit I was fearful I wouldn't like anything. Thankfully my husband ordered for us and we chose to share the Arroz Gaucho, a rice dish with three different types of sausage, sirloin , and collard greens. It was a huge helping so Im glad we chose to share, and WOW it was AMAZING! I was very happy with it and suddenly wished I had room to have another dish, but i guess thats even more of a reason to come back again soon. Service was excellent, this is certainly a great spot to take a date or an out of town guest. And even though we had a bottle of wine, app and entree I think we only spent around 80 or so, it was much worth it!

As a Brazilian, it was great to find out that there is such good brazilian food in town! Appetizers were excellent (Coxinha de Frango), entrée as well (Camarao Catupiri). This was topped by a very traditional Brazilian dessert: Pudim de leite. I'll return.

I used to work here! I love the lunch menu. The dinner menu is a little pricy (for a former restaurant worker) But it's awesome for a date. The steak is awesome! After going to a few Brazilian Steak Houses in Texas, I now know that This OKC spot outshines them all. I love that they don't have to make a spectacle out of the food by putting it on hooks and walking it around the restaurant. They cook your steak and bring right to you, they don't serve some it to every other table in the joint! Gotta love that!

Great Sunday brunch place: The atmosphere is killer. The food is yummy. The staff is friendly. Good service. It's an easy choice for Sunday brunch. You can count on good food with good live music, and good service.

I went here for lunch with a few friends. I'm a foodie, and I like trying food from different cultures. This was my first time eating Brazilian food, and I'm very impressed--this will become a new spot of mine. The food was delicious, and the service was phenomenal. I'm not vegetarian, but I had the Bo-Bo de Frutas, and it was extremely rich and well-balanced. The other people I went with got the stroganoff and the xin-xin, and everyone finished every bit on his/her plate. It puzzles me that people reviewed this place as having awful food; maybe they're not accustomed to non-American cuisines. Overall, the wait staff was extremely nice and friendly. The price for the quality and deliciousness of food cannot be beat.

My review basically boils down to this: Great food, good atmosphere, inattentive service. I have had the pleasure of eating here twice...once in May 2012, and then again in October 2012. In both cases, I was with a party of 3 or 5 and everyone got a good sampling of the different food options. The rice dishes have a pleasent warm flavor and were very filling. The breakfast dishes such as the Carnaval Hangover and the Juevos Rancheros were delicious and had excellent flavor. I even tried a salad for my main course and the waitress brought out a mountain of fresh, crisp lettuce topped with hearts of palm, well-cooked shrimp, onion, black olives, parmesean, and a homemade anchovy dressing (basically a Caesar salad). It was really a great salad. I also tried a bit of the chicken stroganoff and was impressed with the complexity of the flavor. Food-wise, I haven't seen someone not enjoy whatever they ordered. Service was another story. The day we went in May was Mothers day, so brunch was packed and understandably there were a few lapses in service that can certainly be accounted for by the special event and above-capacity crowd that was awaiting the delicious food. Our trip in October, however was just a standard weekend and only about 1/4 of the tables were occupied and there were quite a few waitstaff congregated in the back of the restaurant. Occasionally one would make a coffee run, but our coffee cups remained empty longer than they had coffee in them...same goes for the water. I would have been more irritated if we weren't having a get-together with a lot of visiting and very little time spent wondering why I don't have coffee. On both days we went, there was live music. I don't remember anything too remarkable about the first time, aside from the fact it was loud in general as the dining area has very little to absorb any sound. The October trip, however had much less people noise and we were initially seated directly in front of the musician. He was playing random jazz using a variety of instruments and, even though I like jazz and can appreciate the unstructured sound....it was a bit out there for me. And it was loud. Very loud. We requested a move to another table and reduced the annoyance, but were really unable to eliminate it. All things considered, I would come back...the food is just too good! I would also recommend the restaurant to those looking for something different in the area...with a disclaimer about service and possible environment issues.

I haven't actually been to the restaurant, but usually go upstairs to their bar called, 'Bossa Nova' and have a few appetizers and drinks with friends. The bar staff and manager are one of the friendliest peoples around OKC. Love Angela she is very helpful if you want to try a new drink and don't know what you want, and so are the other bartenders!

Let me just start by saying the food here is really great, but it can not make up for the horrible service I get, time and time again. The wait staff here is just awful, weather they forget to put in your order, give you the wrong thing, or totally ignore you, I can get better service from the homeless guy that washes your windows. The rooftop bar is a nice touch, but it gets crowded quickly, so if you want to sit outside, go early in the evening.

The bar upstairs called boss nova is fantastic. It's a great place to sit outside and have a cocktail. It's a great view of the city and the caipirinhas are superb. Took a coworker here and he absolutely loved it too. The mussel appetizer is also pretty great. The sauce the the mussels is so creamy and delicious.

How do you say 'relax' in Portuguese? Babblefish says 'Repousar.' So, Repousar! How often do you get to say words like Perere, Feijoada, Torman, in Portuguese, in Oklahoma?! Not often enough. We spent Mother's Day lunch here and loved every minute of it. The restaurant is colorful (sometimes hard to find great color on walls in OKC), the staff are sweet and attentive, and the food is aMAzing. My daughters, aged 7, ate everything plus dessert, because the kids' menu is designed for eaters who might be a little pickier. The ambience is excellent, with a live musician who did keyboard, sax, and percussion as a one-man band. Wen the hostess forgot to wrap my ample leftovers of the incredibly tasty Perere (Brazilian sausage, black beans, rice, and collared greens cooked together with spices) the chef just prepared me a whole new dish and put it all in a to-go box. These people love people, food, and good times. We haven't been in about two years, but we're going back soon on a date night to enjoy their rooftop bar. Thank you, Cafe Do Brasil! Multo obrigado!

Outstanding service with good overviews of not only the food but the cocktails as well. Started with the black mussels -- ask for extra bread because the sauce is too good. I had the special, and my girlfriend got the Romeo and Julieta (filo-wrapped pork over spinach risotto ) -- all were delicious. Rooftop bar after dinner was an added bonus. Can't wait to go back!

Good service and a romantic atmosphere makes this place a good date night location. We weren't wow'd by the food but maybe we're just not fans of brazilian food? For an appetizer we ordered the croquettes with cheese and chicken. This tasted a bit like cream of chicken soup (which I like) but the rich creamy flavor was overpowering the dish so I only ate one croquette (wife wasn't a fan). For dinner we had the Romeo & Julieta which had an amazing risotto rice but the pork, bread & peppers/onions were just average. We also ordered the steak churascurra w/ "medium" temperature was dry and bland.

This is a cozy place with convenient parking. do Brasil has a series of large parlor rooms and a small dance floor. This makes a nice venue for smaller weddings and other receptions. Servers did a fine job. The food was acceptable, but didn't really impress. Simple menu items without any flourishes. Safe food rather than dazzling food. Nevertheless, do Brasil makes for a nice venue.

I'll be heading back to Cafe do Brasil to try more of their Brazilian fare, the next time I'm in OKC. Me and the family happened upon this restaurant to wrap up an afternoon of museum-hopping. This is a huge place. It wasn't busy that night. I like the feel of the place. It's decorated a la Brazilian but not in a kitschy cheap touristy way. The menu had a bigger selection than I had expected. I tried traditional feijoada (which was a huge amount of food). We started with coxinha de galinha. For our meals, J. had passaro preto, while Mom had frango ao aolho. It was all so delicious, but everyone was really digging the appetizers and my feijoada selection. There's apparently a big roof-top bar that I would love to try (definitely for next time I'm there in the summer!).

We are traveling and came upon this via yelp. From start to finish. Fabulous food. Great service. Called ahead to ask about wine list. Erin was great and very helpful. We were pleasantly surprised. Our server Kaitlyn was very knowledgeable and helpful. Chicken croquettes apps (fabulous). Avocado salad. Very fresh and flavorful. Steak dish great. Cooked to perfection. Romeo & Juliet chicken dish. Great. Would highly recommend. Great wine list too !

I met a bunch of friends at Cafe do Brasil for Sunday brunch while visiting Oklahoma and was blown away. It started immediately after walking in the door. The atmosphere alone was enough to earn it a few stars, but the food and service were also excellent. Our waitress was attentive but not overbearing, and really friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a happy experience. I'm going to miss it when I head back home.

I've only been once, but it was a delicious trip! Why should you visit Cafe do Brasil? Because it is authentic Brazilian food, and the only place in OKC where you'll find anything like it! It's colorful and has live music some nights. If you're new to Brazilian food, try the CHURRASCO MISTO, which is a mixture of grilled meats served with traditional Brazilian sides. For a drink, try GUARANA, which is a soft drink made of berries from the Amazon. Finish with the MOUSSE DE MARACUJA (Passion fruit mousse), which is a very tart, but refreshingly smooth way to end the meal.

I went at lunch time. There was no amount of yellow or green paint spared in the decoration of this restaurant. The owner has done an amazing job of decorating the place. I was impressed thoroughly by the Brazilian ambiance. In terms of food, I think this is probably a much better dinner destination. From what I could tell of the lunch menu, the cuisine is mostly a mix of Italianesque dishes. There was a random Stroganoff on there, which I probably should have ordered, but I was trying for something uniquely Brazilian, and went with a rice/bean dish because it seemed more foreign. I'm not sure what I expected the cuisine to be, but I didn't see much that looked of interest to me. The dish I ordered I think was called Perrero. It had rice, beans, bacon and sausage with a fried egg on top. The combination of ingredients resulted in a somewhat greasy texture that made me feel like I had ordered the heart attack platter. The taste was ok, but nothing special aside from the obvious ingredients in the dish. They served it with "green sauce" which was a slow burning salsa (I think it has habaneros in it, I saw little bits of orange). The salsa was quite good. The price ended up being 30% too high in my opinion, given that I ordered no drink, no dessert, and no appetizers, and also was not given any side items, bread chips or otherwise, and my meal rang up to ~$15 at lunch with the tip. If you're going to charge that, you need to bring out a plate of plantain chips with interesting sauces to try, and give people a fried banana or something with the meal. That would make you a 5 star lunch destination in my book. The dessert items were plain jane stuff (rice pudding, chocolate or passion fruit mouse, flan, carrot cake but nothing jump off the wall interesting) and they costed $4-6 which in my mind is also grossly over-priced. I appreciate the Brazilian restaurant option, but I think they can do much better on the food and value. They need to hire a creative chef to add some flare to the menu, and they need to do something to make sure everyone who comes there tastes something they can identify with Brazilian. In fairness, I thought the service was great, which is contrary to what I have seen written about the place. Our waiter refilled my water 3 times, and the food came out quick and hot. The bill also came promptly and we were in and out in 40 minutes. However, other reviews comparing this place to Fogo de Chao and Texas de Brazil must be fake, because this place does not hold a candle to either of those two restaurants (which I have frequented, and don't mind paying $50 for because they are that awesome). I don't expect it to measure up, and it couldn't. It is what it is, a pretty cool cultural restaurant with interesting deco, but let's be realisitic.... It's no Fogo.

One of my favorite places to eat when I lived in Oklahoma City. The bunch is absolutely incredible. I almost always come here for brunch. I usually get the bionic drink which is a wonderful strawberry/milk concoction. To eat, I strongly recommend the Carnival Hangover. Deliciously-spiced, homemade chorizo with means and torillas. The green sauce is AMAZING and is one of the few standard salsas that I would consider "hot", nice work guys! There is no place like this in OKC. Spacious, unique interior (check out the fans!) and a quirky old dude plays multiple instruments on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Note: Dinner is supposedly quite different from brunch or lunch (I have never been). Prices are a bit higher and the place turns a bit dessier. This is a review of the BRUNCH menu.

Came here to celebrate with my wife and the restaurant delivered a memorable evening. The atmosphere was perfect for a evening out with your significant other or a small group of friends. There was a sax/keyboard player that kept us entertained for the night. The music was just a touch loud, so if you are sensitive to noise, you may want to request a seat towards the back of the establishment. We both ordered caipirinhas for a before dinner drink--strong, but still good. Pretty reasonably priced for a upscale restaurant at $6. For food we ordered the meat special for 2. (can't remember the Brazilian name they had for it). It was a great deal at $48. For this price you get two salads (spinach, mandarin orange and almond or Caesar), a large family style plate of sausage, ribs, chicken and steak, a selection of sides including yucca, rice, black beans, polenta, collard greens, and plantains. For dessert you get two small passion fruit and chocolate mousse cups. I had the mandarin orange salad and it was very good, but my wife got the spinach and strawberry salad and it stole the show--excellent. The main course was very large, defiantly enough to feed two people with some leftovers. The steak slices were a perfect medium rare and went great with the chimichurri. The sausage was a perfect spice for us, but may be a bit hot if you do not like spicy food. The ribs were fall off the bone tender surrounded by a sweet onion sauce. The chicken was cooked perfect, but just seemed a bit bland when served with the other flavors on the plate. The side items were of the same good quality as the meats. The plantains were tender and sweet, the polenta had an excellent texture, the black beans and rice were some of the best I have ever had and the greens were cooked perfect. My only complaint on the side items is that the fried yucca was a bit dry. By the time we got to dessert we were stuffed, but the mousse was a nice light way to end the meal. We had a great time, the service was average+, not great, but perfectly acceptable. We chose to have our before dinner cocktail at our table, but only because we did not know about their rooftop lounge. We walked upstairs after our meal and were impressed with the bar area. Cozy inside and a fun, open atmosphere with a string band outside. Next time we will be sure to have our drinks up there.

Our party of 9 (7 adults & 2 children) arrived Sunday @ 11:30am. We were seated right below the live music. This was prime, as kids can get a little impatient with the 'scene.' As previously noted in reviews, the food can take some time. Alas, enjoy your company, the fabulous drinks & the vibe. This place is the gem of Ok City. Every person in our party was delighted with the food & ambiance. It was the perfect setting with family on a hot summer day. An unforgettable experience! Not to be missed.

I really like this place based on the food and the space. The dining has huge ceilings, which can make conversation a little challenging, so it may not be the ideal place for a quiet business meeting. However, there's a certain energy in the room that takes over the space. The food is quite good. Brazilian fare reminds me of Caribbean food, with lots of stews and spices. The portions are large at lunch, but not overbearing. The only suggestion I might make is using different plates. The flat plates combined with the stews and black beans on most entrees leave the presentation looking "runny" and spread out. Once again, the Oklahoma City service issue raises its head. The server we had on my last trip was overly familiar, neglected our drinks, and didn't clear the table when we were finished. If people got used to decent service, they wouldn't put up with this. I won't let this stop me from returning, but it keeps this place from being one of my favorites.

There were a surprising number of attractive young women in there during lunch today. It's not like I was ogling them or anything, I just noticed and thought "wow, there are a lot of pretty girls here." I'm not sure why I felt the need to start with that. The place makes me want to go play soccer, seeing as how the wall colors throw Brazil in your face (Yellow & Green everywhere). This was nearly a five star experience, and it was more due to our waiter than the food. Ryan was a soft-spoken guy, but he was friendly and well informed about the menu. I asked him to clarify a few things, and he did so gladly. I asked him for his opinion on a few menu items, he responded with questions to determine my tastes as well as how hungry I was and then made his recommendation. At the end of the meal, he didn't add the standard 18% gratuity despite the fact that there were ten people in the party. And possibly the most impressive thing of all, he split the bill! Without being asked to! I was so impressed that I tipped him very nicely. Other staff members were also helpful, friendly, and really quick with the service whenever Ryan wasn't around. The food was pretty good, but not mind blowing. I tried the Feijoada Plate, because the words "Brazilian national dish!!!" made me curious and Ryan also suggested it after I told him I was hungry. It was A LOT of food. The menu says that there "may" be bone present in the dish; it's actually guaranteed. The pork meat was soft, and you didn't even need to use a knife because it just fell apart when you touched it. The sausage was really tasty too, but was limited (the same is true for the pork). You get plenty of rice and beans though; there was enough food there that I had to struggle to not to go into a food coma after. The ceviche that a friend got looked absolutely delicious, and if I come back any time soon, I'd want to try the Xin-Xin because the description sounds fantastic. Good experience, although I'll probably think more highly of this place months from now because of the stellar service rather than the food.
